Keep score.
Not the maths.

Rummy Buddy is a quiet, offline score tracker for Indian Rummy. It handles the totals, the eliminations, the re-entries and whose deal it is — so the table can get on with playing.

  • Works fully offline
  • No account needed
  • No ads or tracking
  • 2–10 players

What it does

A scorepad that does the
bookkeeping for you

Quick score entry

One tap for Win, Open Drop, Middle Drop or Full Count. Type a number for anything else. Every round is checked before it is saved.

Elimination & re-entry

Players drop out automatically at the target score. Re-entry is priced at the highest surviving score plus one, so everyone knocked out in the same round comes back level.

Dealer rotation

The deal moves on by itself and skips anyone who is out. When a player re-enters you choose where they slot back into the order.

Edit and undo

Fix the last round whenever you need to. Totals, eliminations and the deal all recalculate — including bringing a player back in if the correction puts them under the target again.

Saved as you go

Each round is written to the device the moment you enter it. Run several games at once, put the phone down mid-game and pick any of them up later.

Stats & sharing

Wins, games played, time at the table and re-entries for every player. Send a live scoreboard or a final result through whichever app you already use.

How scoring works

The four numbers
that run the game

Indian Rummy is played to a target total — 201 points by default. Reach it and you are out. Each round, the player who goes out scores nothing and everyone else takes points. These are the defaults, and every one of them can be changed.

Win
0The player who declares a valid hand. Exactly one player wins each round.
Open Drop
20Folding before you have picked a card from the deck.
Middle Drop
40Folding after play has begun.
Full Count
80Caught without a valid sequence. The ceiling for any single round.

Rummy Buddy is a scorekeeping tool only. It does not deal cards, run games, or involve wagering or real-money gaming of any kind — you play with a real deck at a real table, and the app keeps the pad.

Help

Frequently asked
questions

Does Rummy Buddy let me play rummy?

No. It is a scorepad, not a game. You play with a physical deck of cards and use the app to record the points at the end of each round. There is no gameplay in the app, and no betting, wagering or real-money gaming of any kind.

Where is my data stored? Do you see it?

Everything stays on your device. The app makes no network requests at all — there is no server, no account and no analytics, so we never see your player names, scores or anything else. The full detail is in the privacy policy below.

How does re-entry scoring work?

When you cross the target score you are out, but you can come back in. Your new total is set to the highest score among the players still in, plus one — which puts you back in the game without handing you an advantage over whoever is currently losing.

If several players are knocked out in the same round, they all re-enter on the same score. The order they went out in does not matter.

I typed a score wrong. Can I fix it?

Yes. Edit the last round, or undo it completely. Everything downstream is recalculated — totals, who is eliminated, whose deal it is. If the correction means a player was never actually out, they are brought back in and their re-entry is unwound.

Why won’t it accept a score of 1?

Zero is reserved for the round winner, and exactly one player can win each round. Any other score therefore starts at 2. If the app is refusing to save a round, check that one player — and only one — is marked as the winner.

Can I change the target score or the drop values?

Yes — all four. Adjust them on the Game Setup screen before you start a game, or set your own defaults in Settings so every new game begins with your house rules.

Can I sync a game between two phones?

Not at the moment. A game lives on the device that created it, which is the trade-off for the app needing no account and no internet connection. You can share a scoreboard or a final result as text at any time, through any app on your phone.

An old game has disappeared.

Finished games are cleared automatically 30 days after they end, so the list stays useful. Games still in progress are never removed on their own — they stay until you delete them. If a game you were still playing has gone, please get in touch.

How do I delete everything?

Settings → Delete All Games removes every game and saved player from the device. Settings → Reset Settings puts your preferences back to their defaults without touching your game history. Uninstalling the app also removes everything it has stored.

Overview

Rummy Buddy is a score tracking app for rummy card games. This policy explains what data the app handles, where it is kept, and what control you have over it.

Data collection

Rummy Buddy does not collect, transmit or share any personal data. The app operates entirely offline and makes no network requests.

Data stored on your device

The app keeps the following in your device’s local storage:

  • Player names you enter during game setup
  • Game scores and history, including round scores, elimination status and re-entry events
  • Preferences such as your theme choice and default game settings
  • Statistics calculated from your completed games

This data never leaves your device. It is not sent to any server, cloud service or third party.

Data sharing

We share no data with anyone, because no data reaches us in the first place.

The app includes a Share feature that passes a game summary to your device’s own share sheet — Messages, WhatsApp, or anything else you have installed. This happens only when you ask for it, and sends only the text shown to you.

Data retention

  • Game data stays on your device until you delete it
  • Completed games are removed automatically after 30 days
  • You can erase everything at any time from Settings → Delete All Games

Third-party services

Rummy Buddy uses no third-party analytics, advertising, tracking or crash reporting services of any kind.

Children’s privacy

The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children. It stores only the game data entered on the device — player names and scores — and that data never leaves it.

Your rights

  • View your data in the app: game history, statistics and saved players
  • Delete all of it from Settings → Delete All Games
  • Reset your preferences from Settings → Reset Settings
  • Uninstall the app to remove everything it has stored

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any change will be reflected in the “last updated” date above.
